The Story
In late August 2020, my business coach basically demanded that I go on vacation. Since we were in the midst of a global pandemic, I needed somewhere local. It was then he suggested, I connect with his friend and travel advisor Takkai Wang. She told me, that if I went to Miraval in the Berkshires, I would get the rest I needed. So after looking at the price and realizing, if I don’t put myself first, I will not get anywhere, I decided to book the trip. I convinced a good friend, to come along and we roadtripped it up to the Berkshires. From the moment we pulled up and they opened our car doors, we knew we were somewhere special. As someone who builds experiences for a living, I know what it means to feel welcome the moment you walk in. After our first massages, we were both like, we have go to get our friends to come here.
Fast forward to the weekend of April 30th and the first The Reset Weekend took place. In working with the amazing staff at Miraval, we brought a dozen senior women from advertising agencies, brands and startups to experience this incredible place. I also had the amazing Yaya Rey curate a gift card of over $500 worth of health and wellness goodies and Rose in a can :) This is all about putting yourself first and you deserve a break, we are still living thru a pandemic.
This was a choose your own adventure experience, after a welcome cocktail reception, you’re on your own, there are no forced group dinners or networking. Takkai helps you build the activities you want and then you’re good to go. Did I mention the beds are made of actual clouds, so if you just want to sleep for the weekend - DO IT. The best part of this experience, outside of the once again incredible time I had at resort, was the note I got from one of my Reset Weekend ladies, where she emailed me: I so Needed This…
